Non-medical home care agencies
This is non-medical home care — personal care, companionship, and help with daily activities, paid privately or via a Medicaid waiver. It’s different from Medicare-covered home health (skilled nursing/therapy). These agencies are state-licensed, so there’s no national rating — we show the public licensing roster where states publish one.
Currently covering 26,517 licensed agencies across 15 states (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia), with more states as their rosters become available.
States without a public roster yet
These 36 states do not publish a licensing roster we can use, or we have not yet been able to obtain one. Each page says what we know and where to get help in that state — it does not mean the state has no licensed agencies.
We currently list non-medical personal-care agencies in 15 states. If we don’t list agencies yet, it’s because the data source — state licensing records — varies in availability from state to state.
